exolab was brought on to manage large scale paid campaigns across multiple accounts and websites for the multiple award winning travel agency, Barrhead Travel. Having successfully become the largest independent Travel Agency in the U.K. their business is now embarking on the next phase in that journey by improving their online marketing.

Challenge

Managing multiple large scale accounts with significant ad spend whilst reducing CPC and increasing conversions. In addition: hundreds of keywords had little or no click volume, large amounts of low quality score keywords, budget wastage on non-converting terms and poor tracking implementation.

Solution

The solution began with an audit across all campaigns. With the discoveries leading to poor performance we put a priority plan in place to remove all account performance blockages. Having solved these issues we moved onto optimisation of the campaigns introducing automation and bidding rules. Combined with more precise performance tracking we were able to not only see an uplift in clicks and conversions but also a cheap cost-per-click. Being able to prove this output with accurate reporting was critical as proof of these impressive results.
